Commercial real estate mogul Michael Pollack moved to Arizona in 1990 after one day of retirement. Pollack began buying up commercial property in a not-so-hot market. The Arizona real estate boom has left him a few hundred million dollars wealthier.

“I wouldn’t live anywhere else,” says Pollack, who has owned his share of beach homes in California and elsewhere. He’d rather live in the East Valley. Pollack’s 31,000 square-foot offices sit near the corner of Alma School and Baseline roads. His personal office corridors lead from one dream room to another.
